Apollo GT - Being one of the many typical skinny
Asian kids growing up in the U.S., you were picked
on by the football players and the popular girls in
school would ignore you. Do you think that will
always stay with you and fuel your ambitions?
Paul Gunn - I think that, in a way, it made me fight
harder for what I have. My greatest strength is my
work ethic: when I choose to embark on
something, I stubbornly, doggedly, tenaciously
obsess over my goal. And, that was the all-
encompassing goal for me: to prove people wrong
about me. There is a saying by Henry Van Dyke
that goes, “Some succeed because they were
destined to, but, most succeed because they were
determined to.” And, yes, I will ...
